Attorney-Partner Lee Christie of Christie Bell & Marshall is known both locally and nationwide as a legal leader. We are excited to announce that Attorney Christie has continued his tradition of excellence and leadership by being elected as the 2025 Indianapolis Bar Association President and to serve on the Indiana Nominating & Qualifications Commission.
Attorney Christie’s selection to be the 2025 Indianapolis Bar Association President will begin when he serves as the First Vice President of the association in 2023. In 2024, he will be the President-Elect, before officially assuming the role of Indianapolis Bar Association President the following year. In these positions, Attorney Christie will help ensure the growth of the Association and its continued dedication to upholding the highest professional ethics in all legal courts and proceedings throughout Indiana.
After winning more than 900 ballots, which was nearly three times as many as the first runner-up, Attorney Christie was elected to the Indianapolis Judicial Nominating and Qualifications Commission. He will serve a three-year term that begins on January 1st, 2023. In his role within the Commission, Attorney Christie will help evaluate potential Indiana Supreme Court, Court of Appeals, and Tax Court candidates. He is beyond proud to have earned a seat that is so important to the judicial workings of Indiana and how those systems touch the day-to-day lives of Indianans.
